Stelios Karamanolis (b.1977, Athens, Greece) lives and works in Berlin. Karamanolis is a graduate of the Athens School of Fine Art and the Hildesheim University in Germany. In his practice, Stelios Karamanolis focuses on a metaphysical abstraction that remains consistent with his poetry. His works are abounding with symbols, involving ambivalent figures, both human and non-human, with a view to examining an assorted mix of anthropological case studies via acute representation of diverse emotional states.
