Dio Horia engages in collaborative projects developed as a result of associations with artists, curators, non-profit organizations and cultural carriers. These fall into categories ranging from social, cultural and literary studies to music and performing arts. Through these collaborations, Dio Horia plays host to diverse viewpoints and aesthetics.
#the21project is a presentation of works by Greek and international artists who are invited to install artworks in the three main walls of the Twenty One Restaurant, using the same number of works as the restaurant’s name and installing them in the same format as the Twenty One hotel’s logo.
By adopting and using elements of the visual identity of the hotel and the restaurant, #the21project touches on the issue of cultural appropriation.
In its second volume, Juergen Teller participates with 21 photographs and Aurel Schmidt and Stelios Karamanolis with 21 drawings each.
At the same time, the exhibition presents also the works of: Greg Bogin, Maja Djordjevic, Taylor McKimens, Rallou Panayiotou, Alex Ruthner and Alexandros Tzannis, aiming to present modern trends of Greek and international artistic production to a wider audience of contemporary art.
